Dear Friends,
Greetings. Thank you all very much for your fervent and sincere prayers for the people of Chennai. The first flood was a little bit soft, but the second flood which has struck Chennai is very harsh. Many people are rendered homeless and many lost their valuables. People are struggling without water and food. People are wiped off of their three basic needs -- food, clothes and shelter. It is very pathetic. We need your consistent prayers.
Our SRC in Tambaram too was not spared from the fury of the floods. The photo which you see was taken today, 3rd December. It is the entry point to SRC. From this point our Centre is about one KM. We hear that water has reached the level of the First Floor of our Centre.(it is only hear say, but must be quite true.) None of our people are there at present). Our Care Taker and Staff, Mr. Christopher, Dr. Moses Inbaraj and Mr. Robbins Jesuraj who are our neighbours have moved to safe places.
Please pray that rain should stop, water should recede quickly, people should be restored to normal life at the earliest and for our Lord's continued protection.
Regards,
Richard Samuel,
