What an awesome weekend at the retreat! The staff did a great job to organize everything and then God did the rest. The focus was on discipleship and how every Christian should be making disciples. No more excuses. The Spirit of God is enough for all who believe. We all need to be doing life with those in our sphere of influence to impact the Kingdom in Christ's name. Anyway, I could go on, but you will hear about it at bible studies tomorrow night.
Oh and our class dodgeball team came up just short as we lost in the finals. Our team name: the purple cobras. Greatness!
Grab some rest tonight to recover from the sleep depravity of the weekend!
So on the continuation of the momentum gained this weekend, tomorrow night we will have our respective studies. Guys, we will meet at my house (2636 red bluff court, Plano) at 7pm to go over Knowing God chapters 17-18. Believe me that's enough for our discussion time! Gals, be on the lookout for an email from Linda for details for tomorrow night as you are going through 12 Ordinary Men.
Afterwards (about 8:15pm-ish), we will all hang out at my house. Rock Band 1, 2, and 3 will be available as well as other games and ping pong. Really looking forward to the fellowship and to have those that went on the retreat share what God did with those that couldn't go.
Leadership Meeting: January 30, 7pm. My house. Gang, Linda and I have been talking about things we want to do with our class. Discipleship, socials, where we serve, unity amongst other classes have been some of the topics. There are specific things that we want to implement and ASAP.
We will spend the first part praying for each other and the class. The second part will be a funneling of ideas if you will. I know several of you have awesome ideas in these areas and especially those that went on the retreat and those that were at the leadership huddle. This will be open to all in our class who want to be a part of shaping the vision for Equip, meaning not just for those officially on leadership. We will also be looking to fill our sport coordinator role for the upcoming sports seasons.
You guys rock and are such an encouragement to me and your other classmates!
Thanks,
Bryan
