Subject: Winter Retreat 2012

Hey gang,

Faith.  Food.  Fellowship.  Fun.  It is the Thursday before we leave for the Retreat.  I’m excited and I hope you are too.  If you haven’t signed up, you still can at www.prestonwood.org/ysretreat.  If money is an issue, the staff will work with you on that so don’t let that be an excuse.  Also, start asking around about carpooling.  I personally have two more spots in my truck for guys that want go.  If you need help finding a ride, let us know and we will see what we can do last minute.

The only thing I want to point out is to make sure you spend time preparing for this weekend.  Hopefully you already have been doing so especially in prayer.  God can do anything he wants with you this weekend if you let Him.  So, take some time tonight and tomorrow morning if you haven’t done so yet to dive into some Scripture, pray and prepare your heart.  Set goals for this weekend.  That you want to wake up early on Saturday and Sunday and get away to open your Bible and journal.  Maybe God has you going on this trip so that you can impact someone else who is going (Gal 6:2,10).  A large part of this retreat will be about making new friends and deepening relationships you already have.  Maybe, you make it a point to seek out someone the Lord has placed on your heart and look to encourage them this weekend.  I know the staff has put their best foot forward to provide an opportunity for us to grow in our faith in Christ this weekend.  Just be prepared to hit the ground running when you get there for whatever the Lord has in store for you!

Also, there will be quite a bit of down time…especially on Saturday…so bring whatever favorite game you have to play and get some good rest tonight because sleep can sometimes be rare on these things!

See you at Pine Cove,

Bryan
