Hello again,

Not sure if this is related to my previous question about notation. But I haven't been able to find  the reaction catalyzed by dextransucrases (EC 2.4.1.5, ):

sucrose + [(1->6)-alpha-D-glucosyl]n = D-fructose + [(1->6)-alpha-D-glucosyl]n+1

(https://www.genome.jp/dbget-bin/www_bget?enzyme+2.4.1.5)

I'm not sure if it is about the notation or there is something intrinsically wrong about having the "n+1" notation for extending the dextran chain... or if the chain length would change the dG of the reaction itself...

Any hints on this would be great, thanks!

Hi,

It's unrelated, but indeed the "n+1" is probably not parsed properly by equilibrator.
In general, it cannot currently handle polymers, and therefore can't really predict the ΔG'0 of this reaction anyway.
