We are proud to announce Francesco Scazza Associate Professor at the Physics Department of the Università degli Studi di Trieste and Fellow of the Istituto Nazionale Di Ottica Del Cnr (CNR-INO) 👨🏻🏫
Francesco's research brings quantum mechanics to life in the lab: since 2022, he leads the ArQuS laboratory, an experimental group investigating quantum many-body systems and quantum processors with cold trapped atoms — supported by EU, national, and regional research grants. ⚛️
He obtained his PhD in Physics at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, then held positions at CNR-INO and the European Laboratory for Nonlinear Spectroscopy (LENS), and was a visiting scientist at Princeton University before joining the University of Trieste.
