Time for our third speaker spotlight for the 5th edition of the European Summer School on quantum AI!
✨ We're delighted to introduce Adrián Pérez Salinas, tenure-track researcher at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a leading voice at the intersection of quantum computing and machine learning.
💻 Adrián holds a PhD from the University of Barcelona, developed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. He has since held postdoctoral positions at Leiden University, the Free University of Berlin, and ETH Zurich — building a truly international research profile. His work focuses on hybrid quantum-classical approaches, variational circuits, NISQ algorithms, and the trade-offs between quantum advantage and classical surrogation. Among his notable contributions is the re-uploading scheme for variational circuits, a key technique in the quantum machine learning landscape.
