The source code distribution for the open-source release of EnergyPlus 8.1 is now available for download from the SourceForge project site here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/epx/files/EnergyPlus/energyplus-8.1.0.008-source.zip

We will be updating the epx_dev branch with the new code and project files (GFortran/CMake/Eclipse) soon.

Thanks,
The EPx Team

Hi,

Where can I find some real world (bulky) input data for EnergyPlus? I wish to profile the code for performance. I'll need compatible 'idd' and 'epw' weather files too.
Also if you can suggest on the kind of input (parameters) for which the execution time of EnergyPlus turns out to be longer.

Regards,

Shazeb,

This is maybe not the best forum for your question. I would suggest looking at some of the example files included with the official EnergyPlus distribution or asking on the yahoo user help site.

There are also some papers which already discuss runtime performance of EnergyPlus in some detail (e.g., this paper from LBNL). You may be able to ask the authors of the paper which building input files they used for this study.

Hope that helps!
