EnergyPlus 8.1.0.009 source code and NREL GitHub public repository

The source code distribution for the open-source release of EnergyPlus 8.1.0.009 is now available for download from the SourceForge project site here:

NOTE: The 009 version was a patch release that was posted shortly after version 8.1.0.008 was released. Most users with version 8.1 are probably using 8.1.0.009. However, we did not have the source for 009 available on SourceForge until today. We are mainly posting this version of the code for posterity and research purposes.


We would also like to announce that EnergyPlus 8.1.0.009 will probably be the last "canonical" version that we post on the EPx project site. NREL just recently made its repository for EnergyPlus 8.2 available to the public on GitHub. We commend NREL and DOE for making this bold move to open up the code even further. Because of this change, we expect that there is no longer a need for us to commit the code and create a zip for future releases on the EPx project site. For EnergyPlus 8.2 and beyond, we can now refer you to the EnergyPlus source code on GitHub here: https://github.com/NREL/EnergyPlus
