EPUBCheck status and work items

Romain, Laurent and I have been discussing the state of EPubCheck.  Romain put together the attached document, which I added a little to.  I would like to circulate it to a larger group as there is a fair amount of discussion about EPUBCheck (e.g. in the DPUB BG).  I was going to post it to the EPUBCheck wiki, but I don’t have the rights.  Could someone on this list who does have the rights either post it or give me the rights to do so?  My github name is rkwright.

Of course any feedback or contributions to the doc/process is more than welcome.

If it helps, I have tried to compile up what's changed in 3.1, as not everything is listed in the changes document.[1] Most of the various schema changes were made during the revision, so you should only need to integrate, but there are some odds and ends beyond the need for html 5.1 validation. I can't say the list is complete, but I can make another try at thoroughness if it'll be useful.

Okay, it should be more useful now. I've sifted through all the issues closed during 3.1 and added what wasn't noted in the changes doc.

 

It's yours to use or ignore as you please.
