iOS webview does not wordwrap long lines

We have tried building an EPUB reader using Nativescript and EPUB.js.

It works great on Android.

However on iOS it seems to make the containing <div> as wide as possible and thus generate horizontal scroll instead of wrapping long lines and then paginate.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve it?

We tried setting the webview width to device width but it does not help.
