Help, can not load the main page

Hello every one,

i installed Eprints on Virtual Private Server (VPS) under Debian 7. I connected to VPS by PUTTY software on Windows 10.

I did these steps:

1. Install Apache2 via Putty by executing this command apt-get install apache2

2. Install MySQL also thru Putty with apt-get install mysql-server

3. Then run mysql_secure_installation

4. I monitored the status of both server via Webmin where two green ticks appeared beside MySQL Database Server and Apache Webserver

5. The next steps I did by following the instruction stated on http://wiki.eprints.org/w/Installing_EPrints_3_via_apt_(Debian/Ubuntu).

6. While configuring EPrints ALIAS for the archive ID, the internet connection was interrupted, then

7. I repeat the epadmin create with a new archive ID, when trying to confirm the Redirecting Alias the electrical power outage occured (a common thing happens in developing country)

8. I keep trying by creating the third new archive ID and it worked till the end as I followed the given instruction in http://wiki.eprints.org/w/Getting_Started_with_EPrints_3

9. I added the Include /usr/share/eprints3/cfg/apache.conf to the /etc/apache2/apache2.conf

10. Stop the webserver and then start it. At this point there were two problems that both actions failed due to syntax error. I troubleshoot them by removing the configuration file in /usr/share/eprints3/cfg/apache/  which were set for the two archive IDs as I described at point 6 and 7. So far the Stop and Start Webserver was OK.

11. Now I became frustrated on how to make the Eprints main page display after typing the hostname from internet browser. I sought every where on the internet but it seems no solution to my problem. I also configure the /etc/hosts file by adding the hostname to 127.0.0.1 , but still not work. 

Is there any way that I have missed from the above steps? or perhaps due to my lack knowledge in administering the Linux VPS as I am newby in this thing.

Please help me if any member in this group has the best solution since it is urgent. I need to present about Eprints to the Rector to convince him to use this repository software in our institution. I appreciate any guides to achieve the solution.
