Hi Zen,
The best place to ask for this type of technical support is on the EPrints Tech List – details are listed here:
https://wiki.eprints.org/w/Eprints-tech_Mailing_List
But I will try and help you here anyway 😊
If you following these instructions: https://wiki.eprints.org/w/Installing_EPrints_on_RHEL/Fedora/CentOS#Installing_EPrints_3.4.x_from_Source – or the Debian/Ubuntu equivalent, I guess you have got stuck on this part:
yum install git
mkdir /opt/eprints3/
chown eprints:eprints /opt/eprints3/
chmod 2775 /opt/eprints3/
su eprints
git clone https://github.com/eprints/eprints3.4.git /opt/eprints3
git checkout tags/v3.4.5
After the ‘su eprints’ command, change the directory you are in, to the one you are about to clone the git repository into:
...
su eprints
cd /opt/eprints3/
git clone https://github.com/eprints/eprints3.4.git /opt/eprints3
git checkout tags/v3.4.5
Please let me know if this helps or not.
Cheers,
John
