Hi Everybody. At IDPF/BEA one of the presenters from Adobe said he'd be willing to an #ePrdctn hour, if his marketing department approves.

This could be a great opportunity to ask questions about 5.5 or the future of ePub with Adobe, so I want to frame the request carefully and give him the data that would get his marketing folks to say yes.

What would we want to talk about? Just what is #ePrdctn hour's reach, and how do we quantify it that so marketers would be convinced?

We recently had Colin Fleming from Adobe. Colin does the videos on the Adobe TV site that discusses ePub functions. http://tv.adobe.com/watch/cs55-design-standard-feature-tour/adding-audio-and-video-content-to-epub-from-indesign-cs55-/ You could send along the twapper keeper (or whatever it is?) notes to them of the last #ePrdctn hour. Just the fact that we already had an Adobe employee who does their marketing videos on #ePrdctn hour should be enough to convince them to allow for future employees to jump in the conversation.

Weirdly, I thought Colin was affiliated with Adobe but has his own firm, sort of like AnnMarie Conception (aka. Her Geekness).

Do you think another Adobe speaker is overkill?

I honestly don't mind. It wont benefit me personally since I don't use ID but than again, neither did the first one. I did it for the majority of #ePrdctn that does use ID. It never hurts to know the industry. If you're willing to host it and do the leg work to get another presenter, awesome! I'll join in on almost any #ePrdctn conversation. :)
