EPPP Study/Buddy Group Tonight

Hi Sanja, Margarita, Bette and Jabeen,

I wasn’t sure we needed individual email addresses for our Zoom study group tonight. So just in case I listed the emails for Margarita. Jabeen your email address is via eppp@googlegroups, so I hope this email gets to you as well.

I use the AATBS materials for studying for the EPPP. I made a table that details the domains by emphasis on the EPPP. I”m attaching the table to share..

I downloaded sample study plans from AATBS. They go by the number of months you want to study before taking the exam and suggest studying 3x a week, 4x a week, etc. Each study plan schedule is very detailed in terms of what sections to read starting from week 1, when to take the quizzes, toastmaster exams, etc.. I am curious about what you all are using as your study prep material: Prepjet, Academic Review, AATBS, Psychprep, Taylor Study Method. I don’t think it matters what materials we use. I”m thinking it might be helpful if we are focused on the same chapter each week and taking practice questions.. But I guess we can discuss all that at our meeting today.

I’m attaching some study strategies that Dr. Hori had recommended when he was a coach with AATBS in the past. It’s just another set of ideas.

I think the meeting must be at 9pm EST time. Margarita is in PST which would be 6pm her time. LOL.

Hi guys, it doesn’t look like the group is happening at this time. I”m going to read about 10 pages from either Abnormal, Ethics or Clinical. All are interesting domains. I”ll keep you all posted. I’m tempted to get a zoom account to keep us going daily. However I am in
Eastern Time Zone (so it is 9:16pm right now for me).

Good Evening Everyone,

I had the time wrong, I thought this was set for 7pm CST, but it was 6. Let me know about the accountability group and how that works. I work full time and also have  a part time job at a private practice, so my time is limited. I could meet briefly for accountability on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and actual study on Sundays.

 

I am using Prepjet; which focuses on the "Big 6" domains: Physiological Psychology and Psychopharmacology; LIfespan Development; Clinical Psychology; Organizational Psychology; Ethics and Professional Issues, and Psychopathology.  Of those, Prepjet really focuses on  Physio, Clinical and LIfespan, which are the bulk of questions. I am taking the exam in late August, so will have 6 weeks to study. I have taken the exam a few times, and am very familiar with the process, in case any of you haven't taken it yet.
