Trent Baston recently came up with the following statement: "AAEEBL
recognizes e-portfolio [usage?] as a barometer of how well learning
institutions are transforming to thrive in this century."

It might be a useful exercise to actually define the separate points
on the scale and whether the scale is linear or logarithmic?
