Hi! I have grown dissatisfied with my character's appearance. Is there a console command (or any other legit means for that matter) by which I can change how I look? IIRC you could do it with a console command in Oblivion and I wasn't there a plastic surgeon in FO3?

I am trying to change Pipers appearance cause I have a preset for her. I thought naturally it would change her appearance upon load order, etc. Been trying to change her with slm command but after changing her appearance she just reverts back to her default look. I'm pretty much stump at this point cause I've trying lowering the .esp as low as it can go and it still didn't make a difference.

Anyways here is my load order: (It's a bit messy cause I let loot order it but it just works.)

Also here is the mod I am trying to use for Pipers appearance.

They do, in fact, change, though since it is a blend of the mother and father, you may not see a huge difference without changing both of their appearances. Here is a compilation of different faces for Father.

A strange bug seems to occur in Starfield when attempting to change appearance, as one player found out their character model was switched out for a corpse when using Enhance. While Starfield is considered to be the least buggy Bethesda title to release in over a decade, it still has its share of bugs. Thankfully, most of them are harmless and don't impede gameplay by a significant amount, though entire cities in Starfield have been known to disappear for some players in the past.

However, Starfield has also brought several new features to the Bethesda sandbox formula, such as the ship builder, a more refined New Game Plus, and even the ability to change appearance in the middle of a playthrough without having to use console commands in Starfield, as was the case with earlier titles such as Fallout 4 or Skyrim. Given Starfield's nature as a sci-fi setting, not only was it easy for the developers to integrate the feature within the lore, but they also allowed Starfield players to thoroughly alter their look, skin tone and body type included.

That being said, it would seem that CKCartman can't benefit from this quality-of-life Starfield feature, as whenever they attempt to change their character's appearance, the menu screen switches out their model with that of a dead body. It remains a mystery why this bug occurs or persists in their playthrough, especially given the fact that they have yet to enter New Game Plus in Starfield. The disturbing, frozen corpse only shows up when using Enhance or console commands to enter the appearance change menu, while their character remains unaffected during regular gameplay.

However, this is just the way the program looks by default. You can actually customize many aspects of the experience to make it more personal using different fonts, colors, and window layouts. In addition, if you're using Windows 10, you can even make the console semi-transparent and use custom color schemes to quickly change the appearance. And you can apply the settings globally, or you can apply them independently for each shortcut that starts a new session or to use more suitable settings for different tasks.

While we recommend using the "Defaults" option from the right-click context menu, you can access the Command Prompt settings in at least two different ways, and each way will affect the console appearance differently.

If you want to make the command-line experience a little less boring, you can also change the text and background colors, and on Windows 10, you can make the console window semi-transparent (just like in Linux) using these steps:

With these codes, you can manipulate NPCs and other creatures in the game. Unlike the previous commands, you have to enter the console command code first and click the actor you want to manipulate to get its ID then you can be able to effect the code.

Yes, you can change your appearance in Hogwarts Legacy. The game has a wide range of character customization options. Before you even load into the game for the first time, you'll be greeted with many customizations that allow you to choose your sex, skin tone, hair, and more. But don't worry, even after you finalize your character, you can still change some features as you play the game. Here's everything you'll need to know about changing your appearance in Hogwarts Legacy.

When starting out in Fallout 76, you'll be asked to create a character. You'll choose the look, build and overall appearance of your character, and pose with it in photo mode. You'll also select a name, which will show up when you're playing the game. The thing is, once you've named your character, you can't change it. This isn't too important because everyone else in the game will actually see your Bethesda.net username instead anyway. If you want to change that name, you'll need to email support at Bethesda.net. You'll be told to choose four new usernames in order of preference then one will be added in.

On PC, console command "showracemenu" allows you to change anything in the race menu as you have done it in Helgen. But be cautious, if you enter this code in open area, sometimes the game will crash. So you'd better in a small room. I suggest Dragonsreach because the lighting condition there is good.

Of course, it is easy to customize using the GUI while getting better control of what you can change. But, knowing the commands is also necessary in case you start using WSL or access a remote server using SSH; you can customize your experience no matter what.

Console commands are a core part of the PC experience of the Fallout franchise because they add new and interesting ways to handle situations that would otherwise be difficult to overcome. Every modern Fallout game has access to console commands on PC, and they are a great way to change the gameplay of each game.

However, some console commands are more useful than others, and you should know which ones are the most important when starting a new playthrough of a game in the Fallout franchise. Some commands are useful for combat situations, while other console commands are more important for tasks such as taking screenshots.

Updated October 30, 2021 by Michael Caruso: Console commands are one of the most useful and fun features in Bethesda video games. You can use these commands to gain abilities that would otherwise be impossible, such as jumping very high. There are also more practical effects that you can use console commands for during a playthrough, including leveling up your skills without spending any perk points. Here are a couple of extra console commands that can enhance your Fallout experience.

There are ways to change your character's appearance without this command, but you have to pay and go to a specific location, so it's easier to use this command since you can use it whenever you want.

The speed at which your character moves is one of the most important mechanics in a Fallout game. But if you have access to console commands, then you don't have to follow the in-game speed restraints.

The "tfc" command is different than a lot of the other console commands in the Fallout games because it doesn't help with character progression or combat, but instead, it's helpful while trying to take screenshots.

In Starfield, the same command works, but all you need to do to fix the bug is enter the character customisation screen. Using console commands, this can be done by entering 'showlooksmenu player 2'. If you're playing Starfield on console, you can visit an Enhance Clinic for 500 credits to get into the character customisation. You don't actually have to change your appearance, as players have reported that simply entering and exiting customer customisation makes weapons work as intended once again.

In the base game, curing vampirism involves a lengthy quest. Once cured, it is not normally possible to become a vampire again (except via console commands), even though Melisande says that her services will be available if needed in the future. You still can contract "Porphyric Hemophilia" normally after that, but it behaves just like any normal disease then - drain fatigue 5 until cured, without any special effects from sleeping.

Although it is still possible to contract Porphyric Hemophilia after being cured, a character can never become a vampire again without the use of a mod or the console. This is due to the fact that either method of being cured of the condition sets pcvampire and vampire.hasdisease to -1. Since you cannot have porphyric hemophilia twice at the same time, this value can never reach 1. Prior to being infected they are both set at 0 and this is what allows the transformation to take place. There are several mods that change this, and different ways of doing it via the Console.

Console commands can be very useful when dealing with vampirism. The console can be used to infect you with vampirism, cure the disease, or simply fix your facial features. Below are some of the most useful console commands; More detail is provided in the Console Command Tutorial section Vampirism and the Console.

To infect yourself and become a vampire more immediately, enter the following commands into the console: Set PCVampire to 1 and Set vampire.hasdisease to 1. After you sleep or rest you will be at 25% vampirism the same as if you had been infected normally and waited 72 hours.

If this does not work as is the case with the bug where using the command sexchange will cause the head to disappear altogether instead of reverting to female, enter the command showracemenu into the console. Adjust your characters appearance to female and then save the game before hitting "done". Load the game you just saved, and your female pc will look female again.

In relation to the above, if the player switches their main weapon to that of a different weapon type and then switching back to a weapon of the original type, the /lockstyle functionality will reactivate and display the appearance of the originally set weapon. For example, if a player has their weapon appearance locked at Sword A and then equips a club, only the weapon graphic will change from sword A to the newly equipped club. If the player then switches out the club for Sword B, the lockstyle functionality will reactivate and the graphic for sword A will display.
