Good afternoon. I have a Lenovo Yoga 7i 2 in1 laptop with Intel Core i5 1135G7 and Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics 5.9gb. Those who advised me in the online store had told me that the laptop was for "gaming" games, however, I notice that games like Fortnite and Counter Strike go to almost 30 fps with very low settings. I have already resorted to online and physical supports but they always answer me the same "the laptop is only good for jobs like Word and it is better to change to a better computer" So I don't need similar support with Lenovo or Microsoft, because I already know that they are not going to help me change my equipment or exchange it for a better one, so I need you to provide me with some type of software that allows me to run titles like fortnite at 60fps or in the case of an undemanding game Counter Strike. Please, I have read that if there is software to optimize my GPU for games. I also clarify that Windows 11 optimizations I have already seen and done, so what I need is support for Intel exactly. Another important problem that I notice when playing games is that the processor stays at 2.80ghz while it is supposed to be used at 4.1ghz, which is the turbo boost of my CPU, even with the laptop in maximum performance mode and connected to the current I don't notice upgrades or anything like that. Please I NEED your help. Since it is not in my plans to buy another team yet, and I would like to play the titles that I mention more often without discomfort like that. Stay tuned
-Fortnite: Directx11, 1080p, all in low, with global illumination theres in battle royal aprox 24fps max 39. Looking up and down there is 60fps. In creative mode i use the same but with 720p which let me play up to 60fps but there are 20 people what did you expect.
-Forza Horizon 5: All in low option, without shadows and reflexes, and with AMD option on, they give me up to 30 fps but without AMD options there is under 24fps. I try to play in 720p but looks like "The Duel. Test Drive."
But say theres not a file, so i think that software could help me in performance of games. And with settings you say in the Intel web first i try to use it but any changes, so i think man theres a problem with compatibility talking about Unreal Engine 5 with integrated graphics of Intel Processors. Because i delve into the pages of Intel and the gaming community of Intel. And there i found that supposedly the configs and presets in pages (for Intel Iris Xe Graphics) let me play with stable 60FPS. So please make me know about this, if there is some problem or if Intel Integrated Graphics are not supported for games, that would be something very strange because in the stores and pages they define the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics as GAMING. Of course, they are not going to achieve what Nvidias graphics do, but at least they can allow the community to play at a stable 60FPS with the settings they indicate.
I will start with an investigation if there is some problem or if Intel Integrated Graphics are not supported for games. Also, to report the download issue, as soon I have further information I will let you know.
Hi, i still waiting for a solution. Please let me know if there is one. I know that this take time but there is 1 week or more. I want to play my games without lag and bad resolutions and also work with programs that require the GPU process.
Forza 4 - all on low settings - I was able to play between 25-30 fps. It was always below 40fps. After the game was installed, during the first run I saw a popup saying that my hardware is too weak to play this game but allowed me to run the game anyway. Minimal requirements for this game don't actually say that this game will be smooth.
Minecraft with shaders may work on low fps because of shaders of course graphics demanding renders. Shadows, reflections, shades - those are things that demand some gpu calculations. So when the user will turn those options to have a better and nicer game it will be slower.
I don't know why Fortnite don't go at 60FPS stable having a consume of CPU at 34% at 3,84GHZ, RAM is on 74% and iGPU is on 70% using 2,8GB of VRAM which is not a hard work for my Laptop. So i think theres a problem.
Every month I format the computer to keep it running correctly and achieve at least 40FPS with high graphics in the games that I can at least play. After the last format I left without updating my computer (I only install Windows updates) and the performance in games improved. However, it is difficult for me to see even 60FPS stable. Which seems like a problem to me because I know people who play with low-resource equipment at said FPS with medium graphics. Which my equipment does not do assuming it is high-end... Yes, I know it is not gaming but the components should allow me at least with low graphics to enjoy games at 60FPS or more. I hope you find a better solution to the recommendation that technical support like Lenovo or game brands always give me.
I add that I know someone who has an 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a GT 510 with 2GB VRAM and can play at 70 FPS with medium graphics any game except Battlefield 2042, Forza Horizon 5, and minecraft with Extreme shaders, on the other hand, my equipment that has better (and more updated) components is not able to give me a performance similar to some components that went on the market more than 5 years ago... That's why I see a problem, I don't know if it's a question compatibility, lack of support with drivers for games from Intel, I don't know... I hope you can help me. I even used third party programs to optimize my PC and nothing works. I uninstalled my antivirus, removed the visual quality of the computer, lowered the resolution of the computer and nothing improves. Also I have seen dozens of videos looking for solutions and I did not find a solution either.
The 11th generation integrated graphics has the approximate graphics processing power of a mid range desktop card from 2009. Many of the popular videos you have seen of people playing AAA games at 60fps, if you can actually see their hands, are just hovering over they keyboard (It's a video playing on their laptop). My experience with my 1145G7 is that it is best at 1) Good user interface rendering even when the laptop is in power saving modes. 2) The ability to completely shut off the Intel Management engine in the BIOS. 3) Best intel processor generation before the switch to Big Little. Gaming is left for 360 era games.
Some people have posted that they have 12gb of ram in their laptops. To sell a computer claiming it has IrisXe graphics with 12gb of ram is impossible. From ark.intel "Intel Iris Xe Graphics only: to use the Intel Iris Xe brand, the system must be populated with 128-bit (dual channel) memory. Otherwise, use the Intel UHD brand."
Nobody makes 6gb ram sticks. Those with 12gb have an 8gb and 4gb ram modules installed. Dual channel memory ONLY works with equal capacity ram modules installed in a computer that also supports dual channel memory.
