OnePlus 3T is already out of stock in the U.S. and several other countries, but it is still available on Amazon.in and OnePlus Store in India in both Gunmetal and Soft Gold colors. OnePlus also confirmed that it will continue to sell the 64GB and 128GB till later this year. In a statement OnePlus said:
The OnePlus 3T (both 64GB and 128GB variants) will continue to be available for purchase in India until later this year. OnePlus products and accessories are available through all three official sales channels, including oneplusstore.in, Amazon.in and the OnePlus Experience Store in Bangalore.
Earlier this week OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will be powered by Snapdragon 835. Last week OnePlus said that it has teamed up with DxO, a photography benchmark to enhance the camera on the OnePlus 5.
The smartphone is said to feature fingerprint sensor on the front, similar to the OnePlus 3 and 3T. It is expected to be launched this Summer, which is sometime in Q3 2017. We should know more details about the smartphone and the launch date soon.
The OnePlus 3 is officially dead. Android Authority reports that, OnePlus "has officially discontinued sales of its OnePlus 3 smartphone in the US and Europe with no plans to bring it back." The OnePlus 3 will (obviously) be replaced by the newly launched OnePlus 3T in these markets. The confirmation comes two days after OnePlus support reiterated (via Twitter) that the company might restock the OnePlus 3 in the days to come. Or it may not. It was a very vague reiteration on the part of the support representative, but at least, it kept alive hopes that the OnePlus 3 would stay alive for at least some more time.
The company will launch the OnePlus 3T eventually in India in the days to come. When we do not for sure, but hopefully the company would launch it before the end of this year or as and when the OnePlus 3 runs out of stock. The company, at the time of unveiling, had confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus 3T in India (including China and Hong Kong) but did not specify a time frame or for that matter, even the price. It will launch the phone in China on November 29 and chances are the India-specific details will be announced at around the same time.
Discontinuing the OnePlus 3 makes perfect sense as the company has been anyways struggling to keep with demand. Now that a beefier version of the OnePlus 3 is available, buyers would most likely want to buy that. Moreover, the company has reaffirmed that the OnePlus 3T is not its next flagship phone, but an upgrade that reaffirms its stand of launching just one flagship phone every year.
The OnePlus 3T cashes in on the winning formula of the OnePlus 3 and tries to better it further. The OnePlus 3T is good news. Not so much if you've recently purchased the OnePlus 3 though. Also Read: OnePlus 3T V OnePlus 3: Cashing in on the winning formula
As above this process works up to OOS11/Android 11.
In Android 12, incompatibilities were introduced making it impossible to install the two required APK packages.
You can find Roll back packages to install Android 11, it requires a full wipe, but as far as I know the VoLTE settings should carry over if you update it back to OOS 12 or later.
I am sharing this info as our three Telcos will begin shutting down 3G services in early 2024. Once this happens, all mobiles phones will be required to support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) in order to make voice calls.
For this reason, many Grey Import phones including OnePlus will cease to function for voice calls (including for 000 emergency services) . I expect this will be a complete disaster for lot of people, and so far there is zero media attention about the issue.
At this time, Telstra, Optus and Vodafone networks have each implemented VoLTE on their end, however some MVNOs still have yet to offer the function.
You should hopefully see a "VoLTE" or "VoWiFi" symbol next to the network/WiFi icons in the status bar (though it may only show once you pull the notification shade down).
Mine seems to change between the two symbols whenever it feels like it.
.
Just a note about VoLTE MBN configuration files:
Aussie VoLTE MBNs are hard to come by. The ones included in this guide are from a Google Pixel.
Most guides I've seen either don't have Aussie MBNs at all, or they have these ones from a Xiaomi MI9T, which didn't work as expected for me (OnePlus 6 on Telstra network). I tried these first and found that while VoLTE calls worked perfectly, 4G Data was completely broken all of the time, whether on a call or not.
i will probably try this on mine. i use it fully time still. No issues yet and i have no idea if it even is affected by this but if i get a chance to check it all out i'll update with my success (or failure lol). Thanks for you efforts.
Thanks a lot for the guide but this is where I get stuck. When I try to install either of those, it says they conflict with an existing package. I tried to uninstall everything that sounded relevant using ADB AppControl, but I still get this error for both of them. Could you think of the possible cause? Which one of these built-in apps I need to uninstall to get rid of this conflict?
That's interesting. Which model phone?
Are you able to enter the Log Kit by dialling *#800* ?
Are you able to access the Rndis, diag switch by dialling *#801* ?
The very first guide I came across asked to enter *#800# to bring up the LogKit and take it from there. I did it and it brought up 'Feedback' for me, so I thought I should uninstall Feedback so I can install the other version of LogKit that allows me to follow the guide. Then I came across your guide that made more sense and was more detailed than the rest. But now that I have uninstalled Feedback, *#800# gives me "invalid MMI code". Same happens with *#801#. In fact, now none of the codes I tested on this page work anymore:
Thanks. I may give the other approach a try and see what happens. I had found that one but was more inclined to find a more straight-forward solution but now that it has come down to doing a factory reset to get the default apps back, I should give that one a try too. Thanks again.
I have a OnePlus 9RT running a custom ROM (it's also rooted). I have two SIM cards in it, one of them is Boost and the other is Aldi Mobile. Strangely, SIM 2 (Aldi) has VoLTE enabled but I cannot make calls using the Boost SIM if I change the network to NR/LTE only.
It says VoLTE is enabled and supported on both SIM slots, but I've still got the issue of it not working on the Boost SIM which is in slot 1. It's really weird. I get a VoLTE symbol with a number 2 next to it, indicating that it's working for SIM2 (Aldi).
VoWiFi has always worked for me, in fact it's really annoying because I work in the CBD where there is superior mobile coverage, but for some reason if I am on my phone and go walkies in the office the call quality goes really bad as I roam around the different WiFi access points. I'd much prefer it only used VoWiFi if the mobile signal was low, but I don't see a way to configure that.
edit: ok, so after swapping the SIMs around and it not making any difference, I put them back into their original slots. Now I am getting VoLTE on both SIMs and I was able to just call messagebank over LTE.
I can confirm this works with a OnePlus 6 on the Kogan (Vodafone) network. @spectix Thanks for taking the time to provide the software and the detailed instructions.
For those playing at home, I also had open the instructions in the HOW TO ENABLE VOLTE.txt from the extracted zip file (Advantage of multiple screens!). (And sometimes you have to go back a re-read the instructions, because you missed a step.)
I should add, I was expecting the VoTLE icon on the top of the homepage , but that didn't show for me.

Tried this on a Oneplus 5 and used the Telstra SIM profile (as I have boost SIM and Aldi mobile SIM). In the parts for SIM 1 and SIM 2 I copy and pasted both for SIM 1 and SIM 2. Is this correct or should I only be doing for SIM 1?
I spent more than a few hours (eventually successfully) including with Vodafone support using a different method to get my OnePlus 8T enabled for VoLTE and VoWIFI.
Having my phone working, but not the wife's Oneplus 6 wasn't popular.
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I had the same issues as you. Many frustrating hours spent following guides with five different download sources, half of which were broken links and poor instructions with steps missing. I was so relieved to finally get it working, it made sense to save others from the same pain.

Secondly, if I want the VoLTE to work for all providers, do I have to repeat the process 3 times with the 3 provider profiles or does using 1 delete the previous one?
Unfortunately it hasn't worked so far.
How far along did you get with your Oneplus 5?
Were you able to successfully install both OnePlus EngineerMode v1.01.apk and OnePlus Logkit v1.0.apk?
Were you able to enable the Volte and VoWiFi switches?

Sorry for jumping into the conversation. I use Coles mobile and the guide worked perfectly for activating VOLTE on oneplus 7 device. Now points to remember
a) This works only up to version 11 . If you have already upgraded to version 12 you cannot install either of the APKs in package due to a conflict in the existing packages error. Your only choice in that situation would to be downgrade to version 11 ( -rollback-oneplus-7-7-pro-7t-7t-pro-from-oxygenos-12-1-coloros-12-1-to-oxygenos-11-or-oxygenos-10 please see this link for details. I selected the Indian software variant which worked fine on my gmt1900 chinese version). PLEASE TAKE THE COMPLETE BACKUP before you do this will erase everything from your device
b) Once you downgraded to version 11 the steps should work. Please remember if you ever try to upgrade it may give you an error or when it try to update with the complete package you will need to repeat this steps again as it somehow overwrites the settings
c) NEVER ever upgrade to version 12 as you will loose VOLTE after that. There are some posts I saw in xda developers for version 12 but I never got it working . So I am happy to stay in version 11
