Having looked all over the site
stnicholascenter.org I was amazed at
the wonderful information, as well as material for teaching and
gifts. I looked at the children's section and found some wonderful
coloring sheets and got all kinds of ideas if we ever decide to make a
banner for our church.
I also noted that they have items like free bookmarks (postage needed)
that would certainly be a nice addition for the gift bags. And they
had many inexpensive items that would be something we could add to the
gift bag. We could print off some of the coloring pages from this
site for a children's gift bag and add a packet of colors. We could
include the Find a Word puzzles that would cost no more than the price
of the paper we printed them on.
As to our logo, I looked at the forensic reconstruction and think that
the fuller face they created, is not as harsh looking. As Ray added,
he felt that the extremely thin St. Nicholas was not a welcoming look,
but at the same time, he did not want the jolly fat St. Nicholas with
bags of gifts.
These are just a few of my thoughts, and I am sure that between us
all, there are lots of great ideas we can come up with.
