Following the lead of St. Paul's in Fayetteville, St. Michael's will
hold
its first "Blue Christmas" service on Thursday, December 22, at 6:30
p.m.
For many of us this may be the first Christmas since the death of a
loved
one , the loss of a job, or it could be our annual struggle to cope
with
seasonal sadness. Someone once said "nothing is sadder than a happy
time
remembered." The "Blue Christmas" service is a way to honor our losses
and
transitions that cause us to feel out of step with the Christmas
revelry.
The service is a quiet place away from the Christmas hype to be
reminded of
the light that shines in the darkness. All are invited to share
this
service. Contact Bean Murray (bean Mur...@swbell.net) for more
details.
