This Wednesday, December 7 we will observe the Feast Day of our patron
saint, Nicholas of Smyrna, better known as St. Nicholas. This will be
a BRIEF celebration since children have school the next day.
Festivities will begin at 6:30 with a lite snack followed by cookie
decorating, the telling of the story of St. Nicholas by Andrea Wills
and a short liturgy, complete with Fr. Ed Wills’ famous flaming
punch! There will even be a special appearance by St. Nicholas,
himself! The entire celebration will last less than an hour. This is
a wonderful opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to St.
Nicholas’ Church! It will be a truly special time for children of all
ages!
Next Sunday, December 11, our guest musician will be Vali . Vali
is a Celtic musician and will be presenting some lovely Advent pieces
during our worship.
Our Christmas Eve Candlelight service will be at 7 p.m. with guest
musician Mark David. You may remember Mark from his visit earlier in
November. He will be presenting several beautiful Christmas pieces on
his guitar.
Blessings!
