A big THANKS goes out to everyone who helped to make our first Be Ye
Thankful cookout a big success! The food was delicious and the
fellowship was wonderful. It was nice to have several guests and we
do hope to see each of them again soon.
Don't forget that Chuck and crew are setting up our St. Nick's light
display in the park. We are fortunate to have dedicated members who
work hard to help keep our presence before the community. If you can
lend a hand please let Chuck know.
This coming Sunday, November 27th, our special music will be Kaye
Washburn and her Sweet Adelines group. Be sure to invite your family
and friends to worship with us and enjoy some beautiful music. Since
this is the first Sunday in Advent, we will be lighting our Advent
wreath and singing Advent hymns during worship.
Next Sunday, November 4, Bishop Benfield will be with us for his
annual visit. We will have one baptism and Dave & Matt, our guest
guitarist and saxophone player from last week will be with us again.
Prior to worship we will have a soup and chili supper.
Finally, if you are among those who call St. Nicholas' your spiritual
home, you are encouraged to fill out one of the Estimate of Giving
Cards that have been in the bulletin the past two weeks. There will
be some available on the table in the narthex again this Sunday. Your
card can be placed in the offering basin or given to Rosanna.
See You Sunday!
