Peter said: I now really understand that God has no favourites, but that in every nation he loves those who revere him and act justly.
Acts 10:1-35
What? You mean I'm not the favorite? LOL
I wish I had known this portion when I was trying to "argue" with a 14-year-old who was convinced I was on the wrong path. I was trying to tell him that there are many ways to God, and his way, despite the teachings he had had, was NOT the only one.
I was trying to tell him that his definition of hell had no power over me because it was not MY definition of hell.
I was trying to tell him that throughout the world, as just the example of Flood stories differ but are so similar, there are many pathways to God that differ but are so similar.
And I believe, that there is one God, called by many names, and for those people in all those faiths, if they would only follow the simple, loving pathway already written in their choices of The Book, the world would be a much sweeter place.
