I have been working on my own self doubts.  I recently listened to a single cd of Norman Vincent Peale.  He encourages us to repeat to ourselves throughout the day "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and also "This is the day that the Lord hath made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it."  These have helped me greatly and I repeat them often.  Today's reading reinforces this.  And the meditation is perfect!

On the Advent calendar we are using this year, the direction for
Monday was to read Psalm 121, and then it suggests, "why not memorize
it?" I worked on it, but not quite long enough to memorize. Anyway,
yet another assurance that God is there to protect and keep us,
24x7...

Have a great day, unless you've made other plans!

So true! I think that many Christian communities would benefit by "repeating" the same messages to ourselves as a group.
