Thanks, Ms. Smith, for this update.
Also, I'd just like to confirm that our posters are due on Monday and NOT this coming Friday.
Thanks!

Hi All,
We have an exciting class coming up on Wednesday!!! We have two guest speakers: Erik Rodriquez from UC Davis who will be speaking about "Epidemiology and The Hispanic Paradox" and Deirdra Forte from SF Public Health Department who will be speaking on "Violent Death Surveillance in San Francisco". They are both very engaging speakers who will build on your current knowledge of epidemiology through their current research projects. They will also talk about how you can use epidemiology concepts through a career in Public Health, so be sure to bring your questions! I will conclude the class with a brief talk of Infectious Disease Epidemiology and an in-class exercise with the opportunity for some bonus points! I hope to leave time in the end for questions regarding the final coming up the following week.
Because office hours were not possible this week, I am changing them for the remaining weeks of class. Feel free to come visit to ask about your group projects or to ask questions about any concepts you might not fully understand. My new hours are Wednesdays from 12-5. I also have other hours available if you can't make those. As always, please drop me an email to schedule a time so you don't have to wait for a meeting.
See you on Wednesday!
