Lab ordering not available through EPIC

I have been in touch with Shands/EPIC IT people regarding the number of occasions in which a laboratory test is performed at Quest or Labcorp, but is not available to be ordered through EPIC.

Sue Myatt (mya...@ba.shands.org) is coordinating the correction of these issues.  Her last e-mail to me read:

Dr. Weiner, Please send a list to me, and if it is possible to combine we will.  The problem we have are there are possibly more than one Orderable Tests in Epic for a Test that may be the same.  We are aware of this, and have started trying to combine these.  We have a team that has identified this and other issues with lab. While all the issues will take time to clean up, we do want to make things easier for Users to order in Epic.

If you have a list, please go ahead and send to me.  If it is possible to combine tests based on methodology and what is included in the test at each Resulting Agency (Quest;LabCorp;Shands) we will do this.

I appreciate your feedback.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
