Update on ordering issues from Charlene

Good Evening to all,

I am sending out this email just to remind you all of some of the changes and how to cut down on extra work for yourself and for me.

When you give patient a script in the office, please check the following:

1. Pharmacy is correct. 
   
2. The amount given is correct. Etc: 90 day supply for mail order and 30 or 90 day supply to local pharmacy. (I have gotten a lot of scripts back because the amount given did not equal the directions on taking the medication. ETC: # 30 and take 2 tabs daily, or # 90 and take 2 tabs daily. 
   
3. Ordering CKD education referral: Type in (Dia15) in the order and it will come up as CKD Education and go to the workqueues. 
   
4. Ordering CT guided biopsy at interventional radiology: Type in (IMG14202). It will go to the correct workqueues. 
   
5. When doing Therapy Plan orders, also order Appointment Request to adult Infusion and consent the patient for treatment. The consent can be done face to face or on the phone with two people. The MD and a witness. 
   
6. Ordering US Retroperitoneal complete: Type in (IMG13492). It will go to the correct workqueues. 
   
7. If ordering a biopsy that you will do or assist with please give me the information and I will place the order and labs needed. I will instruct patient about the procedure and what to expect, where to go and etc.
