Eventually the servers will die, and it will be sad to have such great games dead. We need to have a way to play completely offline, i don't care if they recycle the system from Battlefront 2. Just give us bots as a last update.

I've been watching the Battlefield V Dev Talks and recently, I saw something that looks like bots named "[Auto] ServerPlayer"in the server where the Devs showed their improved features. So, are these bots going to be available to play with on launch, instead of Coop Mode and War Stories ? I really hope we could have a private server to play with bots since my internet connection isn't very good. Its hard for me to keep buying PS Plus just to play online while my connection is terrible to play online. Hopefully they are going to let us have fun with bots just like in Battlefront 1 Skirmish.

Well I totally understand your point sir, but I have to disagree with the vast majority don't have interest in bots. Sure the bots doesn't really work like how real players played, but there are a lot of people been asking for Bots (at least for offline) for Battlefield game since BF3. I made a video on YouTube talking about this and there's a lot of people that really want a return of bots in BF franchise. To be honest I don't think they will ever release bots for BF games (maybe future BF games), but bots are needed for games like BF. The reason why BF known for Conquest is because other gamemodes are dead. No more players played on other gamemodes except TDM, Conquest, Operations. Sad to see gamemodes that I wanna play like Supply Drops, War Pigeons are no longer have player base. But thanks for replying sir. Good to know there's somebody willing giving out their opinions. Thanks again

Same here. I refuse to play the new versions unless they introduce bots again. Just want to play the game with friends vs AI. Don't want to deal with the drama makers and cheaters in MP any longer.

I would like to know if there is a way for adding bots in lan multiplayer mod ,but that to be offline! I do appologize if this sounds silly, but I really don't know how to explain that what I want better!

I'm asking this question because I saw a Youtube video of a guy talking about Killzone Shadowfall, and he was playing offline against bots, but still scoring points, and the AI bots were very challenging to fight against. So, which games this generation, and before, allow you to do this? I know the Unreal Tournament games do, but I don't know about any of the Halo, COD, or Battlefield games. Or games like Counter Strike, for that matter.

There is also the original Aliens VS Predator for PC that had a skirmish mode where you played either a colonial marine or predator and fight endless waves of aliens and Halo Reach had this as well. Although not FPS, Gears of War 2 had bots and a horde mode. This is all I could come up with when it comes to the "Arena" style fps.

Both Star Wars Battlefront games allow this- and on the 360 Battlefront II actually allows for greater numbers of "reinforcements", which can make for some really long lasting battles. Both also look noticeably better played over an HDMI connection, too.

And to build on what was said above about Black Ops 1, one reason it stands among my all time favorites is because the ENTIRE multiplayer experience is fully replicated in the 100% offline Combat Training mode, including all of the unlockable weapons and special awards/medals/designations/ect. Great practice too- if you can hold your own against a team of Veteran-level bots in combat training (without your own teammates) you excel at online play.

In Black Ops 1: "Multiplayer" -> "Local" -> "Split Screen". From that point on you can set Game Mode, Options, number of Bots (friendly & enemy), Difficulty, Select Classes, Killstreaks, etc. It will not be splitscreen if you are playing single player. I like to have 1 against 7 weak enemy bots or so (no friendly bots) and then go hog wild.

Edit: Of course Gears of War 2 and 3 allow you and a team of YOUR friends to play against the hoard. Not the same as bots, but probably the most fun multiplayer experience I've ever had with a shooter (FYI Gears is not FPS)

OK, cool stuff! What about the Battlefield games? I played through the single-player mode in the 2010 release ( the one where you're in Afghanistan), but I don't know if it had an offline mode where you could play against bots. And I'm really curious about Titanfall and Battlefield 4.

If you're still wild about Battlefield 2, check out the AIX mod. They opened up the 64player maps to its full size (no annoying you're leaving battlefield notifications anymore), added an insane amount of vehicles and provided the option to load up to 250 bots in your map

first of all, my eternal gratitude for this community & making it possible to play Battlefield Bad Company 2 after the shutdown of the original servers. The trips down memory lane have so far been a pleasant surprise, seeing how well aged BF:BC2 is over more then a decade. So much nostalgic bliss. Thank you!

im not sure because i havnt tried it but i think this is what you are looking for
How to play BFBC2 with offline bots - Mod by Napisal (youtube.com)
You may also have a look at Napisals youtube for more info, these are from his work Napisal Mod Channel - YouTube but sadly he has not continued his work for a long time and many of the links in his videos are no longer available.
hope thats what you were looking for

hi again @B0mbV0yage2.0 ,
yes its quiet the little secret as to how the bot server got their hands on it at all, or quite what it is, most assumed Napisal never finished it. Worth having a look through the chat on the VU discord and more specifically another discord called BattlefieldModding ; where theres a few resources and plenty of people that may be able to help.

The mod you are trying to view has ceased development and consequently been archived. If you are a member of this mod, can demonstrate that it is being actively developed and will be able to keep this profile up to date with the latest news, images, videos and downloads, please contact us with all details and we will consider its re-activation.

After that, you will see a new window which include many settings like maps, and bots number you can add, and when you click the "start" button, you can start your own offline mode with bots and then enjoy your gameplay with bots (just like the counter-strike)

As for AI, my idea is that adding a very simple ai for the beginning, like choose random weapon and spawn, take points and shoot the enemies, after that I consider to use Neural Networks and Machine Learning to make it more intelligent

remember me? i'm the one who told ya this mod didnt receive any updates.. u see? that clown even has the nerve of deleting comments, gosh.. how butthurt can somebody be.. if he couldnt make the mod, he shoulda just delete this page instead of keep farming attention. what a loser he is.

Bots help to preserve team balance and keep the action flowing in regular online multiplayer matches. Players can participate in Battlefield 2042 bot matches to practice, though these require an internet connection. There are no BF2042 offline bots as the new FPS is an always-online game.

Featuring huge maps, a large roster of bots and a plethora of unique gameplay mechanics, Renegade X is by far the most impressive fan project ever made. There is also a short single-player campaign for those who want a little more substance out of their experience.

Possibly the best way to describe how amazing Angels Fall First is would be via an anecdote. While attempting to defend a station, I watched as my fellow comrades fell to their deaths, pitifully standing against an unrelenting force. We did our best but were eventually pushed back to the final point. Shoulder to shoulder we waited, setting up turrets in chokepoints and establishing shields. The first wave of enemies took us by surprise, but we fought them back. Unfortunately, we were gradually picked off until eventually, the enemy overran us. While all this was happening sombre music played, marking our final heroic stand. And yes, the whole audience clapped.

When it first launched back in 2017, Battlefront 2 was a mostly worthless single-player experience. While its all-too-brief story mode did offer a modicum of what fans had been hoping for in a modern Battlefront campaign, it failed to offer any meaningful content for single-player-inclined players. In its defence, it did launch with a PVE mode, although it was barebones at best. It had barely any maps and only 10 bots per side.

Fortunately, since its launch, it has been updated numerous times. A ton of additional content has been added for those who wish to play alone. New maps have been added to its base bot mode which adds a little bit of longevity to it. Additionally, a brand new mode called Instant Action has been added. It is essentially the best mode from the original Battlefront games, playable against bots.

Brass Brigade is the game that motivated me to start this guide. While searching late one night I came across a forum page that was inquiring about games with bots. The solo developer of Brass Brigade had popped in to leave a comment with a link to his game. I, desperately wanting a new single-player experience, took a look. And boy was I glad I did.
