Reviving the Ephemerisle Announcements list

Hello everybody!
We are reviving this announcements list, and adding some additional moderators from across several Ephemerisle islands and projects.
Since this list was last used in 2010, many of you may no longer be attending Ephemerisle. Most of the online activity for Ephemerisle has been happening in the https://www.facebook.com/groups/notephemerisle public Facebook group, and in smaller groups for individual islands. There is a community wiki page at http://ephemerisle.org/index.php/Ephemerisle.
We have had a couple of large meetups in San Francisco in the past year and a half, and many people expressed a desire for a low-volume email channel for event-specific announcements. Rather than starting one from scratch, we are reviving this announcements group in a similar format as it's previous iteration, now to be moderated by about 15-20 community-member moderators from different Ephemerisle projects. This will be an announcements list, not a discussion list. Please structure your postings in an announcements format. Discussion should still take place in the Facebook group or in person, so that traffic here is not overwhelming.
We should normally expect a few announcements a month, except around event time- when traffic may rise due to the unique logistical needs of a decentralized event with no organizers.

News:
Ephemerisle is about to undergo major changes because our rental marina just canceled all of it's rental business for the entire 2017 season as a result of storm damage and other business challenges. There may be higher list traffic for a while as we attempt to continue the event in the absence of the usual rental infrastructure, on 4 months' notice.
