Anchoring apprentices needed!

does playing with boats and setting up vital infrastructure at ephemerisle sound totally hot to you? join the Anchoring Guild! we need people to help set the big anchors we use to secure the island, and to help retrieve them at the end of the event. no experience required! we will train you in all the skills you need. the only prerequisites are a level head and the ability to learn. we have a strong preference for people who can be there for the beginning of the build (weds July 12), since that is when most of the anchoring will happen. most of the anchors we use weigh around 60 lbs and are rather unwieldy, so we need at least half the people we take on to be able to manage that physically. if you don't think you're that strong, don't worry! we still need people to drive boats and help manage the chain and line as we deploy them. this mostly involves on-site work, but we will try to meet once before the event to go over some basics and familiarize everyone with the gear.
