Ned Goldberg of the Jewish Children's Regional Service (JCRS) is asking for
volunteers to wrap several hundred gift packages for youngsters at Chanukah
time. JCRS gives support to struggling families and orphans in helping them
get by and continue on to higher education. In many cases children who have
received support from JCRS have gone on to college and become successful
doctors, lawyers, accountants and other prominent members of society. JCRS
needs volunteers to wrap packages in the cafeteria of the
Goldring-Woldenberg Building which houses the Metairie Jewish Community
Center on West Esplanade. Service hourse will be given out to any Scouts who
help with the wrapping taking place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday. For
more information call me at 504-874-5618.
Please forward this to your Pelican District units.
Yours in Scouting,
Alan Smason
