There are 15 available game types in Xbox multiplayer that test your mettle as an advanced warfighter. All your skills, honed by playing the single-player campaign, are put to the test in these contests for survival. All game types can be played on the available maps, which often drastically change your strategy and approach to an arena. The sniper perch you used to gun down traffic in Sharpshooter on a particular map may be too far away from the central action in teambased Strike Command on the same battlefield.

With about 14 single player missions, GRAW 2 seems very likely to satisfy those craving more of the original's tactical action. Unfortunately, the demo only samples the single player and so the multiplayer remains a mystery. Vegas has arguably the finest online multiplayer that any 360 shooter has ever seen, so it's going to take a lot for GRAW 2 to match up for those not completely devoted to the Ghost Recon franchise. Features like Vegas' Persistent Elite Creation, which lets you create your own character and evolve him as you play, have extended and expanded what's possible in an online shooter, and I fear that if the multiplayer of the GRAW sequel is the same as the original, the community may not prosper as readily as it did the first time. Still, this brief play-test has shown me that GRAW 2 is more than just a repacked original with a few new levels. Good stuff.
