Role: Network Engineer
Location: Virginia
Duration: 12 Months

Qualifications:
·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Nokia Service Routing Certification, CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable.
·         10+ years or more proven experience designing, configuring, and managing large-scale IP networks.
·         Dedicated work area and a reliable internet connection.
·         In-depth knowledge of IP routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, ISIS), EVPN, MPLS, QoS, IPv6, VLAN, VPN technologies, IPAM, DHCP, DNS, and network security principles.
·         Knowledge of Passive Optical Network (“PON”) network architecture preferred.
·         Hands-on experience with Nokia Service Router platform preferred.
·         Linux CLI proficiency.
·         Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools proficiency.
·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve network issues efficiently.
·         Excellent communication skills.
·         Willingness and availability to respond to after-hour escalation related to outages or events impacting the network.
·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
·         Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset to stay updated with evolving technologies and industry trends.
·         Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, work in small or confined spaces, and lift up to 80 lbs.
