I have a complex model in EPANET. I want to import additional pipes,
nodes, and tanks from an AutoCAD drawing and have converted the info
using EPACAD to create a .inf file. When I import the .inf file, it
over-writes and destroys the existing information in my EPANET model.
Is there a way to import additional information into an EPANET model
without destroying the data that is already there?

Dear Steve,

I am using a NSM ( a special Excel table) to manage my data and then export the data to Epanet, it is easier and much faster to manage the data.
In your case you can just copy paste the data from one NSM file to an other one to compile both projects.
To import data form Epanet to the NSM just click the "import from Epanet" in the specific tool bar.

Dear Steve,
 You could try as follow:
1.  Export your old network as a .dxf file
2. Convert .dxf to .dwg
3. Merge additional info with old network and create a single .dwg file
4. Use EPACAD to make your desired .inp file.

Hope it will work.

Thanks
Shafi

The NSM file is asking for a password when you try to make an input file.
What is the password?
Thanks.
