Hello Sanjeeb
What do you mean by calibration, because it could take lots of meanings.
1) You have the data of the geometry and roughness of pipes, valves, pumps and hydr. structures
and having the flow/pressure at some measurement points you want to know check if the system behaves
like you expect.
2) You don't have the data of the pipes and then you have a typical design problem.
3) you have some information and need to enhance understanding of a subsector?
Please let us know what kind of data you have, even available software (MATLAB is a good starting point)
and for example if you have used the Epanet2.0 toolkit before.
And remember calibration becomes an optimization problem so maybe some prior knowledge of Genetic Algorithms
of heuristic algorithms is required due to the characteristics of any Water Distribution Network.
