Hello all I am simulating tank network.
I have two cylindrical tanks connected through two junctions each junction has certain elevation. the tanks elevation are zero.

for example

max level = 20                                                                          max level=20
|--------------|                                                                                |-------------|
|              |    j1                                                                         |             |
|              |   |--------------------------------------------------\                         |             |
|     1       |   |                                                   \                        |     2       |
|              |   |                                                    \                       |             |
|              |   |                                                 j2  ------ |               |             |
|--------------|---|                                                            |---------------|-------------|
tank elevation 0                                                                       tank elevation 0

Junction j1 elevation 10
junction j2 elevation 5

tank1 contains water upto height 5
tank2 contains nothing initially
after running the simulation for some time the tanks starts balancing which should not happen because the junction j1 elevation is more than the tank1 level.

If anyone could help how to model this situation with epanet it will be well appreciated.

I have also attached the network input file
Thanks

If the starting level of your tank is 5 meters, and the output is 10 meters, there is no way that the flow begins

Hi Javier,

Thanks for the response

I had also attached the network file. you can try on that.. it flows
I have also attached the epanet snapshot

Unfortunately, EPANET model is not able to simulate pipe network with such parameters (when negative pressure at a node occures).
