ePADD on a Mac

Dear All,

I'd like to run ePADD on a Mac MacOS Monterey Version 12.4

It doesn't quite work; I wonder if anyone is running ePADD on a Mac?

Hi Jonathan - I am! I am running MacOS 14.6.1 (Sonoma) but I know I had a working instance of ePADD when I was on Monterey.

Did installation go smoothly, or can you identify a point at which something might have gone wrong?

I can't further interpret the error message you received. Hoping someone else can jump in with advice.

Hi Jonathan,

Yes, you can run ePADD on a Mac. I have run it on Monterey successfully. I can't quite tell from your screenshot exactly what is going wrong. Could you give more detail on the following points to help us troubleshoot this issue?

• Version of Java you have installed
• Summary of scenario and details about what you were doing (example: Using the Import or Export functions)
• Expected result
• Actual result

Hi Sally,

 

Sorry for my late reply, I’ve been recovering from a surgery.

 

I was trying to use the latest version of ePADD, I didn’t see a DMG version of it so I thought to use the .jar version, which gave the error.

 

I then saw that the previous version of ePADD did have a DMG version available, so I tried that and it worked.
