A few things come up during today's meeting that I'd like to share.
  • Smithsonian working on large scale email collections (500 msg +) but usually in Outlook format.
  • SUL will work on send out lists/links to:
    • open source viewer we're using - and what formats it reads
    • Lucent - unicode based - for languages
  • Comment re viewers for text attachments: we are using an open source one but it is not as robust as either Quick View Plus or Transit Solution. We'd like MUSE/ePADD to be flexible enough that a repository could either use the "default" open source viewer or purchase QVP or TS and use those in their repository setting.
Lastly, please let me know if you want to opt out of the doodle poll for meeting in late March - focusing on discussions of functional requirements!
I'll send that out next week.
Cheers,
Glynn
