Appraisal Module Testing

Dear All,

Please be advised on the details of our ePADD partners meeting as follows:

Date & Time: Mar. 6, 2014, 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. US Pacific Time

Agenda:

1. Appraisal Module Demo

2. YouTrack (bugs/issues tracking software) Demo

3. Questions on testing email archives

4. Any other businesses

Test Preparation:

1. Decide which platform(s) you would like to take.

Win 7 + Chrome

Win 7 + FireFox

OS 10.9 + Chrome

OS 10.9 + FireFox

I hope each institution will test the software on one or more of the above platforms. Please email me your choice so that I can coordinate to make sure all platforms are covered.

2. Prepare an email archive for your test. 

The Appraisal Module will take IMAP protocol emails (e.g. GMail and Yahoo Mail) and MBox format emails. If you plan to use emails not directly acceptable by the ePADD Appraisal module, you will need to convert the archives using tools such as Emailchemy or MailStore, etc. 

The email achieves should have at least 10,000 emails to ensure sufficient data coverage.

Please email me if you have problems preparing email archives for testing. 

3. Prepare to send your email archives to Ixora to facilitate bugs investigation.

Stanford include the following sentence in our contract with Ixora to ensure proper handling of our email archives.

"Any data received from Stanford University for the purpose of developing and testing will be used solely for the intended purpose and shall be properly disposed of after the contract period.' in our contract with Ixora."

Ixora will be happy to send you an email to include similar wordings to ensure proper handling of your email archives. Please let me know if you need such email.
