Trouble running source code

every time i try to open EoPK.py i got the same error "unable to open
settings file".
i have installed all the software that is specified in the Developer
Installation Guide, python 2.5, simplejson, pyOpenGL, etc. I'm using
the PyDev plugin for eclipse.
i tried changing the imports from eopk.py but i got the same result
do you have any idea what can i do to be able to run the source code
properly?

fixed, it was really a dumb problem, i didn't have the settings.xml
file (it's not included in the source code)
