Nowadays, there are considerably more self-help books than others
typologies. In particular, throughout the last century, there had been
an important increase of sales of "how to learn other language" books.

To start with, the repetitive methods, which are mentioned in these
kinds of books, are much more stimulating than other methods, for
instance reading a grammar book, in order to work out your mind. They
are good methods for people who hate studying languages and do not
have any appropriate way or skills to progress in the knowledge of
this language.

However, there are several reasons why these books are not essential.
Firstly, it takes you a lot of time to peruse them; in fact they are
monotonous and repetitive. Secondly, they may not be the best method
for most of the people who have knowledge of the language and just
want to improve it. For this reason, they are just useful for those
who do not know how to start the learning process. Thirdly, it seems
to be that the author tries to sell the rest of the same-topic books
which are written by him similar to the one you are reading.

To sum up, these methods are beneficial depending on the personality
and needs of each one, not all these ways to learn are the best. The
book tells us that if you learn how to think fluently you will become
fluent. In fact, we are what we think. Furthermore, the author demands
us spend all of our spare time in learn it. For instance, listening to
the radio or music, even talking to yourself in a foreign language
every day. In my opinion, you should find out the way of thinking
fluently and not die trying it.
