Language learning self-help is crucial in order to learn successfully
Throughout the last decades an incredibly high amount of self-help
books has been published all over the world. The majority of people
feel that those books are the best way to learn a new language.
Nonetheless, in my opinion I would say that it is a complete waste of
time and money.
In the first place, it is essential to remark that, according to some
global statistics based on the analysis of prestigious and well-known
multilingual teachers about the topic, reading this kind of literature
doesn’t allow either to become a better student or reach better
results. Indeed, it is plain to see that the book market has sold
several millions of language learning self-help books and population
continues having problems to become fluent in second languages.
In contrast, there are several countries in which things are different
and whose people inhabitants find absolutely useful and unbelievably
necessary reading language learning self-help books in order to learn
successfully. United Kingdom is the best example for this matter,
where libraries are filled with hundreds of these books.
All things considered, I strongly believe that the purposes of these
kinds of books are becoming rich to the authors and wasting time for
readers.
