Book to learn how to learn: great or a waste of time?

Some books can be found on market that can help us to find our targets
focused on learning foreign languages, for example, English language.

Firstly, it is known that learning a language is difficult for many
people. For instance, 80% of American people are unable to learn a 2nd
language. This kind of books could be used as a guide and could be
considerably more useful than other methods.

On the other hand, self-help books are too repetitve because they say
the same things all the time. Only few tips can help you. In addition,
the writter tells us what he thinks is the correct way to learn a
language. But his purpose is only to sell his book. What is more, they
are like a religion because the writer wants you to follow his book
step by step as if it is the only way to learn.

Secondly, he doesn't consider that each person is different because he
doesn't take the different learning processes into consideration.

In a nutshell, we would see that these books can make you waste your
time if you already have some knowledge about the language you want to
learn.
