Pros and Cons of “How to-learn books”
Are you for or against self-help-books? Some studious authors wrote them in order to help everybody, since people are used to “minimizing” their learning in to typical text books. However, too many people believe it is impossible learning with self-help books. Therefore, there are several points to consider.
On the one hand, self-help books provide everybody with tips so as to improve their learning process. Namely, they advice everybody to speak aloud, to speak in front of a mirror… They also help to make up a customized plan for each person, depending on her/his level (It can be seen If a person has brilliant studying habits, most of tips will be known by that person), free time, learning style (If It is visual, auditory, kinaesthetic…). Furthermore, according to Mr Froboose, who is a recognized expert linguist, self-help books strongly advise people to be extremely positive as It does considerably more influence in the learning process.
On the other hand, most of people are aware self-help books are absolutely useless as, from their point of view, the best method of learning is practicing. Indeed, the fundamental goal of those books is cheer people up to do what they really want to do. People usually waste time searching for a magical method to learn instead of spending their time studying which is so much more simply. Buying a self-help book is not the most appropriate method.
To sum up, It is obvious lots of self-help books turn into best-sellers since they are useful for many people. Nonetheless, It is clear to us people should not run out money and time buying self-help books, particularly for those who have a clear way of learning. So we point out we are against that type of books.
