Dear TIC teachers, educators, and friends,

 

I hope you, your students, and your trout are all doing well as we approach the holiday season!

 

Attached is our Trout in the Classroom November newsletter, which has important tips for trout care during the upcoming break. Below are additional highlights as you start preparing for spring:

 

• Watershed Agricultural Council’s Watershed Forestry Field Trip Grant application is due by Friday, January 9, 2026 at 5:00 PM. This grant helps cover the cost of transportation for trout release field trips and includes additional programming. Find out more on WAC’s website, and contact Tyler Van Fleet with questions.
• Catskill Watershed Corporation’s Watershed Education Grant (Round 29) application is due by Friday, February 6, 2026 at 4:00 PM. If you’re looking to start a TIC program at your school, or need new TIC equipment for next school year, consider applying for this CWC grant. Contact Samantha Costa with questions.
