Dear TIC teachers, educators, and friends,

 

Happy February! Trout release season starts at the end of next month, and the Trout Release Permit Application Form is due March 14. It is illegal to release your trout without a permit, so please fill it out as soon as possible so that NYS DEC can issue your permit before your release. March 11 is our TIC Spring Conference at Pier 57 in Manhattan from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. You can register for the Spring Conference here.

 

Finally, the Catskill Watershed Corporation Education Grant is due THIS FRIDAY, February 7. If you are a new TIC teacher in need of funding for your program, please make sure to apply.

 

In this newsletter you will also find a fun Valentine’s Day activity for your students and information on this year’s Water Resources Art and Poetry Contest.
