Dear TIC teachers, educators, and friends,

Happy trout release season and Earth Month! All trout release permits that were already submitted have been approved. Please remember that you must have a permit to release fish into any body of water.

In this newsletter we have some helpful tips for trout releases, and guidance for trout care on breaks. As you prepare for trout releases, please make sure that your students are able to identify possible risks, including poison ivy and ticks. Also attached is our recently updated dichotomous key for identifying benthic macroinvertebrates, a fun and informative activity for trout releases.

Chag Sameach/Happy (belated) Easter/Ramadan Mubarak to those who celebrate!

-Nicki
