Dear TIC teachers, educators, and friends,
I hope you, your students, and your trout find yourselves happy and healthy as we approach the holiday season! Please find attached our November newsletter, which has important tips for trout care during the upcoming break. Since some classrooms
have trout that are nearing the swim up stage, I am also including our feeding guide. I also want to flag a few additional highlights of this newsletter:
- I offer classroom/tank visits to NYC and NYC Watershed teachers to provide a TIC lesson and feedback on your tank. Please fill out our
Request Form if you are interested.
- Catskill Watershed Corporation’s
Watershed Education Grant application is now open!
Apply by Friday, February 2, 2024 to receive up to $10,000 in funding for your TIC equipment and transportation for the 2024-25 school year. Contact
Samantha Costa with any questions.
- Watershed Agricultural Council’s
Watershed Forestry Field Trip Program application will be opening soon, and will be due on Friday, January 5, 2024. This grant helps cover the cost of transportation for trout release field trips and includes additional programming. Stay tuned
on their website, and contact
Tyler Van Fleet with any questions.
As always, please reach out anytime with questions, comments, or concerns.
All the best,
Nicki
