Dear TIC teachers, educators, and friends,

Happy (almost) spring! Trout releases are beginning at the end of this month, and many of you are already well underway with solidifying your plans. In the attached newsletter you will find tips for your release day, as well as another reminder to submit your Permit Application Form for Regions 3 & 4 by March 17. Trout releases taking place in all other regions must submit an application to the appropriate NYS DEC regional office. Remember that the stocking permit does not grant you permission for site use.

Please also find attached our new TIC Trout Release Site Guide! This is not a comprehensive list, but provides information about some popular options for programs in NYC and the Watersheds.

Last but not least, we have our TIC Spring Teacher Conference this Wednesday, March 15 at the Bronx Children’s Museum. We still have some open spaces, so please register here if you are able to attend.
