7/5 EOFV Meeting

Hi Everyone,

This is Julie March, a fairly new member of EOFV. I plan to host this Thursday, 7/5, meeting. Looks like this heatwave we have is to continue into next week, with the high on Thursday of 91! I plan to have the meeting around my pool if it’s not too hot, and if it’s too hot, we will just all jump in and swim. So, please bring your swimsuits and a snack, bottle of wine, etc...to share. Please RSVP to let me know if you are coming so I can have an approximate number. Thank you!

I had planned on showing everyone the colic massage on my mare, Lucy. Something you can begin to do if you notice signs of colic in your horse while you wait for the vet. I am a certified equine sports massage therapist and feel this is a good massage for every horse owner to know. Because of the intense heat, I doubt I will do this, but hoping in cooler weather I can still demonstrate this at a meeting, whether I host it or not!

I live on 5 Primrose Lane, Carlisle, PA 17015.  Your GPS should get you here. There is no lane sign on our lane so you will have to rely on GPS. If you don’t have a GPS, simple directions from Carlisle:

Take 74 North, past Wilson Middle School, drive about 5 miles. This is also Waggoners Gap Road. Once you cross over route 944, you will see a beautiful farm house on your right...my lane is directly after this house on your right. It is a stone lane with no street sign. Turn right and proceed back lane. We are the 2nd house on the right. DO NOT take the first little stone lane after the row of pine trees. This leads to our basement. Continue driving to our driveway. You will see my little barn and horses by then. You can call me at 717-448-9839, if you can’t find me and I will try to give better directions.
